The question came up “How do you last 22 years and not burn out in a tough business?” The answer is simple, hire great people and have them run themselves.
To do so is simple, but not easy. Take less for yourself and pay more to your people. We do.
Since we increased wages (by about 50%) we do more work for fewer people. Repeat customers are more than 95% of our sales and we have a long list of people wanting to work for us because they are treated for the asset they are, not a commodity. This means we turn down most business we’re offered, but if we can’t pay what a job is worth, we let the amateurs have it.
